As a 5-7 team, you can't be picky; but playing Army again just should not happen.    I don't like this match at all.  Proves little if NT wins again, and if Army wins nullifies the best game of the year for NT.

I give a shit if it's a rematch. It just shows the laziness aimed at the G5. There was going to be a drop in attendance to this game regardless of opponent before this announcement. Expect the drop to be a little more significant now. So a lot more people will give a shit too.

I get that it's a bowl game so support your school and players but I'm not taking a day off work to go so a game against a team who will play in Denton next season... And 2 years later after that... And 2 again after that...

Well don't be surprised the when us and UTSA or LaTech both want this bowl, and we end up shipped to Idaho.  We are here because we turned out last time.

The players would have been rewarded with any bowl invitation.   If the players were the main motivation, than I doubt a 35 mile trip and an opponent that NT has already badly beaten and plays frequently would be choice.

Works both ways. HOD wanted us because we brought lots of folks last time, myself included, but they can't be surprised if we don't show up in mass this time due to the less than desired opponent.

Yes they can.  If we bring 15k to this then next year or the year after that they can sure a heck thing "Well, NT wasn't the lock we thought they were... lets see how UTSA can do."

We brought about 35k for UNLV ... Army is a much better name opponent.
