I was really down on the team after that loss to the Clippers a couple of nights ago. But we spanked the Lakers tonight, and it felt great! They whine and complain so much they look like the Sacramento Queens in gold. Yeah, you lost Payton...he deserved it! He is supposed to be a respected veteran in the NBA, and he got tossed. Plus, we were without Finley. Oh and by the way, when you can't have Fin, you can have the new J. Howard! He looks like he could be a really good player in this league. I'm excited about New Orleans and the Mean Green most of all, but it was AWESOME to see the Mavs whoop up on the senior citizen Lakers.

It was awesome to beat the Lakers in L.A. finally. It was even better to see the officials call technical fouls on the Lakers for bitching about every call...and in the same game Shaq got called for an offensive foul and stepping over the free throw line! Could this be a sign NBA refs will call the game like they should now?

Howard played great, he is just the perimeter defender the Mavs needed, what a steal he was in the draft. I don't like Antoine Walker's shot selection all the time but I did like it that he got in Shaq's face and didn't back down...his 27 points were nice too.
