Morris is showing why he would have never played at Bama. Kinda surprised Saban kept him on scholarship for even 4 years. A true freshman comes in and plays as good, or better, than a 5h year senior. Frustrating!

He shouldn't be playing in this game.  Do we know when Fine is expected to be back?

Radio just said he would be good for even an early bowl game (Dec. 17th).

not a bad throw against their 2nd or 3rd teamers. Can't believe he just slid down a yard short of the first down, when it was 3rd down...great you are protecting yourself for the 5th quarter.

Please play Fine if he is available. Can't stand watching Morris play... watching him today reminded me of his play against SMU!!

Morris is horrible and the defense can't tackle.  We need some WR's too.  ...and DB's.  But we are better than last year.  It's been a while since we truly felt that way.

I'm more disappointed in the defense then with the offense.

Yeah, he was bad.  But playing matador defense and watching their running back run wind sprints is the real culprit in this game

Couldn't agree more with both of these statements.  Really all phases were frustrating! No doubt the Defense being the most disappointing tonight. We expected the defense to come out fighting as they did most of the year.  (Giving up 52 to UTEP and only 33 to a very good Florida team, doesn't make sense). Almost all of their points tonight coming straight up the middle too.

This should stop a lot of the talk about SL possibly getting picked up by other programs as well. No doubt that it was a great season but we still have a long way to go. Definitely on the right track.  Hopefully the team continues to learn how to "handle a win and prepares the following week".

Well yea.... A mostly ineffective freshman with moxy kept him on the bench until he got hurt.... He's not great.

I read this from a couple of members a week.  Please eloborate with some facts to back up your statement.

Morris is a pocket QB and we never have a pocket, so it is likely he would not do well.  Maybe one day we will have a solid Oline again. I think a solid Oline is the hardest thing to build from scratch in all of football.

5-7 is NOT a great season. It was a good turn around from 1-11 but definitely mediocre at best.

I know and agree... yet 5-7 -in his second season -not first one - seems to be good enough to net Morris a Big 12 job. Its a crazy world we're living in.

I agree but I think, not 100% sure, that Morris is kicking ass in recruiting and has been from day 1.

This post is in poor taste. He is doing the best he can with limited play makers and an offensive line that has been struggling. Lets encourage instead of

beating down this student athlete. This board could stand more of that.

Agree.  And, we're talking about a kid who threw as many TD passes in three starts - two  of those minus the receivers who'd been thrown off the team - than Fine did in his nine starts.   So...

...gripe about the legitimate gripe yesterday:  the defense mailing it in.

Would have been interesting to see how many more TDs Morris could have piled up had the suspended receivers been available.  Every game Morris started, he threw multiple TDs.  Fine never threw more than one per game.
