This is beyond ridiculous at this point.  From the first game where we lost to a D2 squad with a loaded squad, Benford has been terrible.  He's shown improvement here and there, but he wasted several extremely talented players' careers.  It is beyond excusable he's still here.

I'm still just completely baffled that there are human beings in power who allowed Rick Villarreal to make the decisions he did for as long as he did. He either kept Benford because 1. He didn't want to fire all three big three sport coaches in one calendar year or 2. He had too much pride to fold after doubling down on Benford so much. Such a shame. I know it's beating a dead horse, but this is just ridiculous.

And Littrell and Mitchell may be good (Mitchell's team off to a horrible start) but there is no way RV deserved to have any hand in the process at all for those two hires. Give Baker the power and hold him accountable.

Benford won't be gone until Ernie can finally get that Benford is a massive failure. Ernie didn't believe this as of the start of this season. 

Personal manipulation is a powerful phenomenon.

Maybe his performance against Texas A&M?  That was the high point of the Benford era.

I remember sitting in my car working while listening to that game, thinking, "I think we made a mistake."
