This team has been smoked by the top half of CUSA. Before anointing SL the savior, let's see what happens 2 years from now. He's certainly got this program back on track. They key is he keeps the cart planted on the rails and not blown off into an abyss like Mac & Co.

I agree. And it all starts on NSD. 247Sports has our current class at 11th in CUSA right now. You can pretty much pencil us in at 12th because Marshall is at 12th with only 5 recruits. Once their recruits start rolling in they will catapult to a top 5 class. According to 247 we have 13 commits with only two being 3*. We have 12 or 13 slots available to make the most of. We really need to make the most out of it.

This year we are beating bad teams as opposed to losing to them last year. Beating the good teams is an entirely different animal and we are obviously very far behind. I don't think Littrell is going anywhere until he can at least show competitiveness against the top half of CUSA.

History says no.

Please correct me if I'm wrong (like I have to mention that), but in the history of head coaches at NT, only 2 have gone on to other HC jobs.  Hayden Fry to Iowa and Jerry Moore to Texas Tech.

Beat UTEP

You mean left to take a HC job right? Rod Rust was head coach at New England years after he left. Wasn't Corky later a D2 head coach?
