North Texas will finish with an annual home attendance of 19,839 for the 2016 season. This is the second highest attendance I could find, and happened in a season when we didn't host any of the other Texas teams at Apogee. Let's beat UTEP, Win a bowl, and set a new attendance record next season. I could see it happening.

Annual Attendance

C-USA

2016- 19,839  (currently 5-6)

2015- 13,631  (1-11)

2014- 19,271  (4-8)

2013- 21,030  (9-4)

Sun Belt

2012- 18,927  (4-8)

2011- 18,864  (5-7)

2010- 17,718  (3-9)

There might have been that many souls in Apogee if you counted both teams and every single person who worked at Apogee from the broadcast booth to the guy selling cotton candy.  Maybe.

There is no chance, not even close to a real number. They must have counted the number of tickets given away  or something else. the stadium was not even close to half full.

Official attendance counts have been a little shaky this year it seems after I think they under-reported for Homecoming but over-reported for this game and the Marshall game.

Too bad all of our home wins this season were the most poorly-attended.

i don't get it , i brought a friend of mine who had not been to game since the 1980's the last two games.  He was impressed how UNT has grown up and the presentation of everything in the stadium.  Trying to get him to buy season tickets for next year.   I think if people would just come they might be surprised  that this isn't Fouts field anymore.

It starts by not getting embarassed on Homecoming ever again. It's easily the most attended game every year (maybe other than smu) and we have duck dove into the barrels of dog shit the last 2 homecomings.

We played the best team in CUSA on Homecoming and competed for 2 1/2 quarters.  With 17 less scholarship players, and half a roster with maybe 1 other d1 offer.  I think we have a long way to go, but man I'm impressed!! No it has 0 to do with meeting the staff, that was just a neat deal as a HS coach!  Our defense has allowed 10 less PPG than last year ranking it in top 10 in turnarounds nationally.  Offense is up 8 PPG ranking it in the top 20 in turnaround nationally.  This staff is giving its all, the players are to.  Let's go kick UTEP's teeth in and go bowling (hopefully in New Mexico)
