Basketball scoreboard

For the few fans that attended the men's game last night, did you notice that the player stats board and "hustle" stats board wasn't working? What a joke! We are supposed to be a D1 program. I was told that we only have one computer that runs those boards and it was at the women's game. I have emailed our new AD and hope others will also. It's bad enough to have an under achieving team without having our facilities be a joke. I know this is a little thing but it's the first game of the year and we can't even get our scoreboards working?? We had all summer and Fall to make sure everything was ready. I know Wren has a lot on his plate, but this crap has got to stop. HELP!

They haven't worked for the first few games of the season for maybe four years now. No body complained last year...

For basketball, we use multiple controllers to work our scoreboards. There are multiple people involved in operation of the basketball scoreboards. I know we use at least two main controllers. One main controller is used for the game clock, team scores, timeouts, team fouls, and maybe even the possession arrow.  The shot clock is handled by a different person with their own separate controller but it works off of one of the other controllers. Another person with their own main controller handles the player stats (points and fouls). The Hustle Stats board uses its own controller and is handled by a fourth person.

We also had a high school football going on at the same time across the highway. These controllers are designed to be multi-sport functional and so it's possible a controller was needed to handle that game

I don't know what the specific model is that we use to control our scoreboards but the All Sports 5000 Controller costs $850, so if you'd like to get the Athletic Department some more scoreboard controllers ...

They didn't include hustle stats (points in the paint, fast break, points off turnovers) on the stat sheet either. It's only a Div 3 school though so it's that big of a deal. What I missed most was the in-game player stats. Now, if we don't have the hustle/player stats boards "working" for the next game (Drexel - Nov. 20), I'd say we've got a problem.

I give TheWren credit for being a good basketball man, based on his resume. Football is nearly finished for this year and I expect that he will focus on basketball and implement fixes / changes in the near future. For all I know, he may have already issued orders.
