Wilson has been able to recruit where ever he goes. It has nothing to do with facilities, or conference, or history.   A large part of recruiting is THE RECRUITER.  Wilson and his staff have been able to go into those head to head matches with schools at the same prestige level and beat them.    He has done that whether that level is P5 or G5.  

A good recruiter can out recruit the people his program can compete against.  A lot of that is because the recruit and their family comes to trust and like the coach and what he can build.  Talk to our current players, talk to lettermen, most of the time they committed because they liked the coach that recruited them and that coaches vision of them in the program.

With Wilson he has been recruiting this geographic area for a length of time for LSU... He has the contacts established! I am sure Seth and team are working hard to build those contacts.

This is a really good point.  When I moved to Texas to take over the territory, it took a year to get people to even talk to me.  When I finally got to that point, and they trusted me, they came to downright rely on me.
