Then in theory you could have just about any play be considered for targeting. It's difficult to not hit the shoulder area and not accidentally have some contact with the head. I seriously doubt Mclain was aiming for the QBs head. In fact, first contact was with the QB's shoulders. Due to the directions the two players were going, contact with the head was almost a sure thing.

once again i totally agree.. and it is up to the refs to call it... just like how they can call holding on must any play.. the only difference is when a play uses or attempts to make hit the player in the head or neck region.. which i don't think McClain meant to do, but it happened and was call to be made by the Video Official. Who by rule made the had the ability to eject or keep him in the game.. He elected to toss him so it only effected us on for that 1 game
