Wonder how often an easy winner of the conference has no first team all conference players.   Looks like a lot of sour grapes to me, or NT must have one of the most balanced teams in history. NT had two second team and one third team players honored with obviously no superlative awards.

Rice had 3 first team players including the defensive and midfielder of the year.

WKU had 2 first team players plus coach of year.

FAU had 2 first team players and the highest number of total players honored on the top 3 teams, 5.

NT had no one on the all freshman team.

NT had the best overall season record and went 9-1 in the conference beating both Rice and WKU.  Didn't play FAU who finished  6-3-1 in conference.  Seems to me Hedlund should have been the COY based on dominating the conference against apparently more talented teams.

These selections were obviously before the playoffs, however I hope NT proves these selections definitely wrong in the championships.  If I was Baker, I would have a few questions how the best team in the conference could not have a single player on the first team.

Like so many things in life politics (not the GMG banned kind) are to blame, at least in part. Coach Hedlund has a pretty balanced team and they style they play doesn't always lend itself to allowing some players to accumulate big star numbers.

I'd bet the ladies are ok with trading a 1st team spot for being the first place team.

The NT team won the regular season championship.  That has nothing to do with them being happy about the all conference selections.   If anything I suspect they think that because NT won the championship, that NT deserves a lot more individual recognition than they got.

It usually works the other way, the winning team gets players honored that probably shouldn't have been.   Plus NT has plenty of players that are good enough to be among the top 33 in the league.   Hudson was number 2 in all the conference scoring stats and was first team her first three years here.   Hard to see how she was not included on the first team given the team's success and her stats.
