As a fortunate Mean Green road warrior I have to digest on the weirdness that was that House of Horrors known as the Alamodome.

1. First of all the good and please UNT students, Talons, AD - make this happen.  Did you notice the big unified deal UTSA made between the 3rd and 4th quarters.  The Roadkill mascot running into the center of the field flag in tow, swinging it crazy with the band making the powerful Jaws building entrance and the unveiling of the sweet "Come and Take It" banner.  Dam that was outstanding and something I have wanted the Mean Green to do for a long time!  BYU has a coordinated band, mascot, cheerleader, crowd intimidating ritual and now freaking UTSA does too.  I don't know where to go buy this banner for the students.  I would get the gofundmepage underway tomorrow if I knew how to make this happen for the rest of the year.  Buy it and launch the plan at Southern Miss and the Bowl Game.  This is is not the government we need to and can move fast.  Please someone on the inside get band man, talons, cheerleaders and Scrappy on the same page to get the team pumped up going into the fourth.  UTSA's band played hey baby for the fun of it in the middle of the second quarter.  Hey baby is not tradition, it is not intimidating, it makes my ears bleed and is so bloody weak it just pales in comparison again to what the 6 year old Runners are doing out there.

2. WTF was up with the band.  How does a 48 year old fan know when you play the 3rd down North Texas Fight chant and the 20 year old Drum Major kept playing it on second down.  I know people are laughing thinking I am being ridiculous with this detail, but it's what I do - look at details for a living.  The band was OFF all night long!  I don't get it and first of all where were they? Why did our full band not make one road trip this year?  That's a legitimate question - I mean we are 4.5 hours away.  We were 4  hours away from Houston and didn't send the full band.  A full band in the dome knowing when to play what makes an in game experience difference.  Further the band needs to be playing constantly.  They sat on their hands when UTSA was on 3rd and 4th down.  They played the North Texas Fight song on first down when WE WERE ON OFFENSE!  WTF?  This band needs to join the Wrenovation going on and fast.  Smastrek and Wren force this band to get cooler uniforms that can be worn in September (but a real uniform).  Make them have a coordinated march into the stadium - lure me into the stadium before the Star Spangled Banner.  First impressions matter.

3. Scrappy standing on the Roadrunner logo at the front of the game and digging his foot into the beak and jumping on it was not only disrespectful but down right comical as they proceeded to kick our arse all over the field that night.  Everybody including Scrappy thought we won the game before the first snap.  Fans calling this a trap game made me laugh.  We are the trap game brothers and sisters.

4. The Alumni Tailgate party was okay.  We had a nice time and there was a good turnout, but I found myself wanting to be at the UTSA party next door because there were tv's to watch games, a dj spinning upbeat music - it was more of a party than ours.   For some reason I had a lot more fun at the Rice Tailgate than I did the UTSA one.

5. Next time we play the Texas teams can we get blocks of rooms where Mean Green fans can stay together?  I found us spread out all over the city which is fine as there are many great options.  But as a fan who has traveled to all of the games it would be cool to stay at "The Mean Green Fans hotel."  I would think in Houston and San Antonio you should definitely be able to sell out those room blocks.

You know I love a post experience feedback form to fill out.  Had we somehow won I still would have had the above points to express.

Beat La Tech!

Go Mean Green!!!!!

Band was off all night. My wife said something about it as well. They also played when we had the near the end zone. that place gets so loud because of the echo (lack of people).

My biggest complain about the band was their drumming during about the whole game including when NT had the ball.  I appreciate the effort and basically how good all the spirit groups are.  However, it looks like someone in charge would take the time to train them when to cheer and/or play in relationship to the game.
