Congrats women! Looks like UNT is growing just as serious about girls' sports as the men's.

Speaking of men's sports, did anyone realize there are only six NCAA D-I sanctioned men's sports at UNT, and half of them are running (Indoor Track, Outdoor Track, Cross Country)? We need to get baseball or men's soccer queued up. At least a men's soccer team wouldn't require a new facility to be built.

Devil's advocate: why hasn't Hedlund already been snatched away?

He was here prior to the formation of the 1995 Woman's program. The real question is, why would he leave? He's built a very solid program from the ground up and has job security. That isn't something hat comes around often these days.

Unfortunatly, the only pertinent number is scholarships.

I'm on a baseball visit with my son at FIU this weekend.  We walked up yesterday and came upon Mean Green women soccer playing FIU, got to see them  winning conference.  It was a nice surprise.

Wish Mean Green had baseball!

Coach Hedlund has some kiddos and likes them being in Argyle schools.   I know 2 of his boys graduated from there and went on to kick for FBS teams.    I don't know if he has any more kids, but if not, I don't know what is tying him down here if some other school comes along with more $$.
