Gotcha! I thought about that, just didn't think to check the box score on ESPN. It just seems odd to say they turned it over seven times and fumbled seven times. Makes it seem like they lost all seven of their fumbles and that was it. I even watched the game but didn't realize they had that many total fumbles!

Didn't Army fumble only three times and not seven?

They didn't lose all the fumbles they had during the game. They managed to recover some of them, especially when the play was reviewed (and over turned in their favor).

Yeah I just don't remember that many fumbles... I remember 2 or 3 fumbles that were overturned as fumbles (knee was down, etc...) but I don't remember them fumbling the ball 7 times. I'm sure some of those are just botched pitches and not necessarily caused by the defense. The botched snap on the punting play is one...

 

To be clear, I'm not wanting to argue the amount of fumbles, I was mostly curious as to why the amount fumbles were mentioned but not the amount of picks so I though Brett Vito had made a mistake.
