Complaints about football attendance is there....but we can't even compete in attendance if only 800 are showing up....Questionf or Talons...are you publicizing the game on tuesday...if so i haven't seen squat....Basketball is here...football is too...dont just support the teams that are winning...they were bad at one point too! And that 800 mark was a VERY generous 800 and it was on a FRIDAY nite!

There was a game on Friday too? I went to the one on Saturday! tongue.gif

I too am disappointed in the fanbase. Complain about no attendance and/or how bad our team is, and they don't even show up to support the team on a Saturday night at 7pm!

I can't say that I'll have any signs or anything, but I'll be there. Students, make sure that you sit on the side facing the press! What few we had were so scattered out that people felt strange doing chants until towards the end of the game (Thanks NTEagle08!).

does NT ever give publicity to the baskettball games? Perhaps asking the fraternities and sororities for help would increase attendance? I know that in my five years on campus I rarley if ever heard about a basketball game before it happened. and all of the people that I have talked to had no Idea that we were playing baylor tonite

I never see any kind of sign or anything for ANY sports games. I saw one sign for Arkansas State football game, and it was in pink and purple and looked like an 8 year old had drawn it. The Talons may have been a great spirit organization in the past, but they just aren't getting the job done now. It seems it is more a social club than a spirit club.

Since I am the spirit chair for the spring semester in Talons, I will be trying my best to get the word out about the basketball games. But as of now, it's just hard getting Talons to the game let alone getting signs and ads up for the basketball game. We only had like 6-7 Talons show up Saturday, and only 4 for the NW Oklahoma St game, and this is out of 54 active members.

So am I right in saying that it is more of a social club than a spirit club nowadays? Tell the Talons that actually do give the effort to show up to games and give support to our teams my thanks.

yea, it's frustrating when I am not apart of them problem. I have been to both of the men's games this year, but I do get frustrated w/ the lack of Talons showing up at the games. I mean how can we expect the student body to get pumped about the basketball team when we can't even get most of Talons pumped about the games.

I hope a few more Talons show up tonight to the Baylor game, but at this rate, I doubt it. But I will be there, making the most noise noise as possible. biggrin.gif
