They had 291 yards rushing.  The 7 turnovers and a special teams miscue is what killed them.  Congrats to the defense, the played their assignments and then constantly looked to strip the ball.

I just know, if Army wins this game, someone will post how we should run the triple option because it's so novel and hard to prepare for.

Don't.  Just don't

We would need a line to run a triple option

I'm not sure what the three options are, but they all seem to suck.

Hooray for us.

Today they were Fumble, Interception, and Penalty.

I was very happy to see that most of the three were forced with only a few gifts (namely the pick-six and the 4th down fumbled snap)

Looks like Wilson had plenty of holes as he rung up 160+

You're 100% correct but the majority of those runs were stretch plays and the RB making a play on reading the holes. If we were to line up and run the triple option, i feel like there would be a different result. we had negative yards rushing in the first half and that was from running it up the middle.

The negative yards in the first half were from two QB sacks and one or two attempted QB sweeps around the edge. Wilson had 7 yards in the first half.

Ok but how many attempts did it take for him to get to 7 Yards? Who else ran the ball and for how much?Im just saying, we dont have the beef or the athletes on the line of scrimmage to line up and run it every play

Wilson had rushes for 3 yards, 4 yards (so it took two attempts for 7 yards in the first half)

Mason Fine had rushes of 1 yard, -2 yards, -10 yards, 1 yard

Ivery had a rush of 1 yard

Even with the two sacks, the running game fell flat until we started to stretch the field. I love the stretch play with these two RB's because it gives them the chance to make plays with their legs and shows their athleticism. Need to improve the dive plays though.

Also saw that Mason is one of the top sacked QB's in the nation and he didnt really play the home opener
