I am new to this board.  I have a strange story.  I graduated from North Texas and my son was offered by Army this year to play football as he graduated in 2016.   As things would have it we dropped him off in West Point in July for his R Day/bootcamp prior to football.   As luck would have it he got hurt and missed too much time in boot camp to continue.   Well he is now back in Texas and will most likely be playing for North Texas starting in the January as he is a transfer student now.   He is still talking to a few other schools but I think North Texas is for him because of the close proximity to us.   Very excited about the future of North Texas.

If anyone has the opportunity to go the the game in West Point, I would highly recommend it.  Words and pictures cannot express the beauty of that campus.  I have been up there twice, once for recruiting visit and the second to drop him off for R Day.  While it is sad that it didn't work out for him there, I still have alot of respect for those kids.   Beat Army!

Welcome aboard!  Glad to have you and your son aboard as North Texas student and fans.  Love to visit Army some day.  Several Veterans on this board...lot of respect for Army and all they do for our country.
