Lance has been out the past 2 weeks.   Hopefully will play after the bye week.

Saw him in street clothes on the sideline. It'd be good to have him and Dez back after the bye.  Romo, um, should probably wait longer to ensure he's really really healthy.

Donovan McNabb, this morning on Mike and Mike, said the Cowboys should put Romo and Bryant on the trading block and just continue this youth movement.  Thoughts?

Need to keep Bryant.  Butler has a bad case of the dropsies.

I agree with this entirely. Dez is a basket case, injury prone, and is a Dallas Cowboy hype machine. This team could pick up a lot of positive pieces in a Dez/Romo trade. This offensive doesn't need superstar power at the WR position. It needs all around productivity and that could easily be attained in a trade of this caliber.

Freeing up the salary cap would be amazing to sign Martin and either Leary or Collins to long term deals in addition to signing some defensive players to long term deals such as Byron Jones in a couple of years...

I would be completely okay with Getting rid of Dez Bryant.  I understand he is a complete game changer but we have fared well without his services.

McNabb also hates Dallas. It wasn't long ago Dallas was destitute at the QB position. The recievers were thin too. Teams needs depth. McNabb is wrong.

Recent super bowl winners haven't won because of some top notch WR though. Other than Demaryus Thomas last year, here are the top paid WRs on the past several SB winners:

'14 Amendola; '13 Sidney Rice; '12 Anquand Boldin; '11 Hakeem Nicks; '10 Donald Driver; 'Marques Colston. Before that you have Hines Ward a few times, Marvin Harrison once, and some other good WRs. None of these guys are slouches but the highest paid WR there is Sidney Rice at $9.7 million. Then it's Anquand Boldin at $7.5. Dez's average salary over the life of his contract is $14 million. The key is all of those teams had good defenses and very well rounded receiving corps. We have a great receiving corps for now but eventually our guys will want to go elsewhere to make more money and it'll just be Dez filling up the cap space unless the 'Boys can draft better.
