adding potential depth is never a bad thing. I don't think it necessarily says anything about your current team. Remember, this kid has 3 years of eligibility which will make him essentially a sophomore. We do not currently have anyone in that slot.

Without Isadore, Shanbourn (sr), O'hara (sr), and Cason (soph) would back up Fine with with another freshman arriving in the fall.

It takes all the pressure off the incoming freshman and gives Littrell 2 viable QBs for the next 3 years.

So what does it tell us?  

It tells us that Littrell wants to be able to sleep soundly at night rather than pace the floor.
