So who is the bonehead that questioned the decision when we went for two?  Seemed obvious that this was the right decision at that point.

Yeah that was bad.  Probably NT Daily.

I thought they should taken the points on the drive before and go for the field goal at whatever it was 4th down on the 9 and they ended up turning over on downs.

The clock was not their friend at that point in the game and they were struggling getting Middle's offense off the field.

I get it I just wanted more points on the scoreboard, I was yelling at my radio. But then the two point conversion becomes a non issue on the next drive.

Building an O-Line is a tough one.

True.

Also, two of middle's scoring drives were penalty aided on two third down calls.  It may not seem like much ...but this team still held the lead until 32 seconds left in the first half.

Considering where we were last year I call that progress.

Sure but this is not just about getting points. It is also about a message to the team. Both decisions have serious downsides. Considering it was 4th and long I get the urge to take the points even though the clock was already quite far down. But if you take the points there, it seems like you lost believe and the some players in the team will understand it as such. That is dangerous, because your players mustn't take a cue from you and lose believe themselves.

How many of the MUTS third down conversions were via penalty? Those officials were totally inept last night. A mockery.

Late in the game, Littrell and Jeffrey Wilson seemed to have words with each other. Did anyone else notice this?

I can't believe none of the reporters inquired about that exchange. Wilson was out there fighting for yards and taking a pounding. I bet he was frustrated with the line and WRs lack of blocking.

I thought if the clock had a few more minutes then maybe you take the points.  Maybe.  We completed the two point conversion ... only to have a penalty on the oline.

I loved that answer. When I heard the question, my mind was screaming "None of your F'n business!".

Was that after the subbed him out for Ivery?  It looked like he should have cut inside on the previous play.  I was wondering if they had pulled him out to take advantage of a coaching opportunity.

I thought the same. Two two-point conversions is a tall order.

Not sure why anyone questioned the 2 pt Conversion, actually made it if not for Murray going down the field to draw the penalty, down by 9 with 2-3 min left you have to get to one score.

Not questioning the 2 pt conversion.  This was the previous drive when we came away with nothing.  At that time, there were still more than 9 minutes left and I think it's reasonable to wonder if making the score 23-10 wouldn't have been a good idea.

And either late in the 3rd quarter, or early in the 4th, McClain and Gray were jawing at each other on the sideline having to be separated by teammates.    No doubt frustrations were high for all at that point in the game.   These guys were doing a lot of things right, but it wasn't coming together.
The offense was getting handled by MT's defense and the defense kept playing great on 1st & 2nd down, then giving up big plays/penalties on 3rd & long...  Seemed like MT converted 90% of their 3rd downs.  As a defensive player, that would have to be frustrating as hell.

Hopefully they learn from it and get better this week against a Marshall team that is coming in here reeling and looking to get on track.  We're going to get their best shot.

Having seen Littrell's personality and style for almost a year now, it's probably fair to assume that Wilson brought a teaching opportunity on himself with behavior, play, or verbally.

I saw one replay of the Murray penalty on the two point conversion.  It really didn't look like he was down field.  I mean, when you line up on the 2 yard line, he would have to be in the middle of the end zone.  Did anyone have a better view or take on this play/penalty?
