Don't know if this has been posted.   Baker response to Florida fan email from their board.  

What concerned me from my understanding was two QB's in 3 weeks by same player. Here is the response. Thought some might be interested.

Thank you for email. I actually saw both plays in person as well as on tape. They weren’t the same and if you watch you’d see that. The play against Luke happened in large part because the Offensive tackles foot tripped Wheeler. It was very unfortunate. We felt terrible for Luke as did Josh. Coach Mac actually apologized to Coach Littrell in the postgame handshake because he said his guys in the box had watched the tape and saw what happened.

The hit against SMU was a late hit and we dealt with that appropriately.

I’d suggest you consider watching the video. I’ve spoken with Jeremy Foley and Coach Littrell spoke with Coach Mac. Neither thought there was intent to hurt Luke or the play was dirty. I’m at peace if you don’t see it that way. Everyone at UNT is hoping for a speedy recovery for Luke. I know the admin staff at Florida well and have great respect for them and want to have great success.

Big deal that Florida fans are butt hurt that their "star" QB got hurt. Time for everyone to just move on. Accidents and injuries happen.

Geez they are in denial. All they have to do is watch Goolsby, the tight end's movements and they'd clearly see it was their own player's fault. That is probably why Goolsby was hanging around while they were helping Del Rio, because he felt bad that he tripped our guy into his knee. You can't refute video evidence that conclusive. Goolsby #30 gets beat, turns his head to the right to see Wheeler, swings his left foot back and hooks the front of Wheeler's right leg, causing him to stumble. If ANYONE should have been penalized, it should have been Goolsby! That is a dirty play that made the rest of the nation think that we were the dirty ones, disgusting. McElwain has no honor in continuing to ignore what ACTUALLY HAPPENED!!

It is unfortunate when a player gets hurt. In both cases it wasn't the intent. Sadly the UF coach has no class and has chosen to perpetuate a lie.

If many of you recall that a few Vols fans came on the board to invite any of us who were making the trip to Knoxville to stop by for a beer and football conversation. Additionally the same fan discouraged any of us from making the trip to the Swamp. He stated that the Florida fans were animals to opposing teams. Guess that now extends to the Coach as well.

It is a sad day when a nationally recognized program can't behave.

Some people say Oklahoma is the worlds largest trailer park. I think those people have never been to Florida!!!
