Hell No it wasnt intentional. If anything, it kind of looked like the TE that was blocking Wheeler Tripped him up into the QB In my opinion. These Two announcers keep bringing it up and talking about it like it Bounty Gate. One of the announcers said it was a "Late Hit"......REALLY????

 

Then UF's Coach comes charging out onto the field yelling at Littrell like they would trying to take out their QB. Get out of Here with that BS

Watch McElwain after a couple of the Florida pass interference calls. Obvious to anyone who ever played or watched a game a ove the level of Pee Wee, and he's complaining. Dude, just  STFU.

I don't suppose anyone recorded any of this, did you? I missed it, but a buddy told me abour their coach coming crying onto the field and I'm really curious to know what an infant in CFB looks like.

More than that, I want to know what Coach Litty looks like when he tells said infant to back down.

Agree. It looked to me like when Wheeler shed the blocker, the blocker tripped Wheeler and shoved him. Wheeler lunged for the quarterback, body not under control. Totally unintentional IMO. McElwain is a crybaby.

Bunch of nonsense. Definitely did not warrant a flag. It was a football play. Hats off to the D tonight. They played with heart and that's what I expect to see. If they being that into CUSA play I'll be pleased. The offensive play calling fundamentals must improve. That was horrible.

Forget about it.  I heard both coaches interviewed after the game, and they both understand that Wheeler was trying to make a play and that McElwain responded in the heat of battle.  They've let it go, so the rest of us should.

Littrell would beat the ever loving shit out of McElwain. Kinda wish he'd have tried something on Littrell so we coulda watched Littrell beat his ass.

Shouldn't have even been a penalty.  However, I thought overall the SEC officials were pretty good.

I watched the replay over and over on my DVR and it is clear to me that Wheeler got tripped up coming off of the tight end's block.  The tight end was beat and the tight end's leg flared out and Wheeler clearly stumbles and falls forward while trying to make a sack.  And Wheeler's head hits Del Rio's leg awkwardly and bends back, which makes sense, considering he was stumbling as he went in for the sack and lost some of his ability to make a form tackle.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Floridaquarterback Luke Del Rio injured his left knee in a 32-0 victory against North Texas on Saturday night, a huge concern as the Gators prepare to play at No. 15 Tennessee next week.

Defensive lineman Joshua Wheeler hit Del Rio low at the end of incomplete pass late in the third quarter, drawing a personal-foul penalty. Trainers and coach Jim McElwain rushed to the field as Del Rio ripped off his helmet. Del Rio eventually got up and walked to the locker room without any assistance.

But that was hardly the end of it for Florida (3-0). McElwain, who seemingly believed Wheeler's hit was dirty, started yelling at the North Texas (1-2) sideline and had to be restrained by officials and then players. Both teams responded by stepping onto the field and moving toward the hash marks.
