Was it the bowl game or was it the SMU game two years ago?

Even though it was D1AA team it felt good driving home last night.

I was at the game last night- it did not feel like a decisive win.  We had a couple of first and goal situations where we had to settle for field goals.  We should have hung 50 on them- that would have felt decisive.

My vote would be for the 2014 SMU win.

Dec, 3, 2011.  We sat in the rain.

Derick Thompson 2 of 7 passing for 23 yards, but he handed off 67 times for 465 yards.

UNT 59 and MT 7.  Middle Tennessee scored their 7 on the last play of the game.

Now that was a dominating performance.

That game was the Lance Dunbar showcase game.

The last time we played a FCS team where our guys did not give up.

Don't put a lot of stock in this win folks.  Let's hope they play well in the Swamp, "get a week better", as coach Littrell likes to say, then go get a W at Rice (who looked AWFUL again on Saturday).  Bailiff has to be a lame-duck coach.

Nichols State state almost beat #9 Georgia this weekend. The team we played 2 years ago who went 0-12....

That's impossible. I thought we couldn't be competitive in a body bag game. Ohhhhh that's right. We've just had a string of "play to not get hurt" coaches here for so long that I forgot how to play to win a body bag game.

The HOD Bowl win in the Cotton Bowl stadium over Mountain West Conference UNLV with 36,000 Mean Green fans was superb!  (Can we only  imagine had we had a Big 10 school eligible to come down to Dallas how much larger that crowd could have been)?

New Orleans Bowl win over the Bearcats of Cincinnati.

I loved being at "The Stand" game versus Rice U at Apogee and on ESPN national television that Halloween Night.

Our New Mexico State bowl clinching win at Fouts when the goal post was torn down was a memorable game, too. (See pic below)

And I could mention the '75 Tennessee win but I won't.

GMG!
