I think this is drastic based on a garbage time TD. Unless Littrell decides to use two quarterbacks... I personally would have waited to see Morris get comfortable this week, but I'm not going to hate on Littrell's decision. Better to pull the hook early than to pull it after we become bowl ineligible.

I don't really know how to read this. I think the answer will come with conference play. We all knew the competition was close and the coaching staff was high on Fine. But they might just be letting the QB competition play out into the season.

Excited to see the kid play, for sure.

I wish I had more insight on went into this, but all I've got is.... daaaaamn!

I'm a little concerned but honestly more hyped than anything. It's not Prescott starting for the Cowboys, but it is at least some indicator the staff has a strong degree of belief in a young guy who could help out for a long, long time. And that has me really excited.

Let's see what we got with fine. This is a great opportunity to do that against a d1AA school.

I just hope too many people don't get high on him if he plays well and beats Bethune Cookman. Just like several (including I) freaked out two years ago in Dajon Williams' first start against Nicholls State.

I think last week's game had only a little to do with this decision.  This is based on what the coaches have seen in practice.

And all those kids on campus just learned last week that Alex was the starting quarterback.

Wouldn't be surprised if Fine is starting bc Morris is banged up. Starting Fine allows Morris to get some rest before Florida bc we will need both guys against them.

Yes, we need everything to go to plan to stay undefeated against Florida!

Banged up really? That's surprising

This is nothing to do with Morris being banged up, but everything to do with the staff thinking Morris is the guy (for this game vs FCS). Truth be told, this may being their P5 suave getting in the way. We'll shortly see what unfolds. I'm excited either way. GMG

I was as excited as anyone to see Morris transfer here, but it really does no good to play a senior QB on a bad team...especially if you feel as though the QB of the future is on the roster.

FWIW, I highly doubt it's based on his performance last week.  If so, pity this wretched fan base because we have some serious "knee-jerk reaction" coaches.

Wow! I'm really torn on this. Was Morris that bad or is Fine just that good???

If there's a time to get your young player valuable playing experience, right here vs a FCS squad is the best opportunity to do it. This is a big message to the team. You're at the point of no return, IMO....
