Just started on CBS Sports, Rice up 7-0, scored on long pass on 2nd play of game.

Army responds, runs it right down Rice's throat, 7-7.

Although Army is looking a little less winnable than I thought before the season.

We'll find out in two weeks if Rice is just that bad or if Army (and western Kentucky) is just really good. Until then, just another thrashing of Rice.

Maybe. But I don't ever put a lot of stock in Army. WKU game vs Rice wasn't a great measuring stick bc WKU is probably that good. This kind of cements my opinion on Rice if it keeps up.

Army radio announcers said the Rice QB was unimpressive.

Army seems less diciplined than they normally do.  More penalties against them than I recall normally seeing.

It's so our luck for them to be good in the year we play them--just like Iowa last year.

They actually have a coach who knows how to win running the option. Monken is a really good coach.

They'll go 5-7 or 6-6, but their schedule is horrible.

I agree that Rice is a winnable game, but over half of this team has not experienced a road win at North Texas. I know Littrell is here and Mac/Canales are out but I am curious to see how these players perform away from Apogee.
