Slow down there turbo, showers forecasted in the early AM and not PM. Just tap the brakes a little

There is no ground and pound game for this team. Time to move on from that.

You can still throw the ball in rain.

Rain helps the offense a little in that the WR knows where he is going before the play while the DB doesn't. It can be tough for DBs to keep up with the cuts and moves on the slippery turf. The slippery field can make the difference between being tightly covered and wide open. I'll take the rain in this case.

No offense to you, lots of people are saying it. But just because we may have the same number of players doesn't mean we have the same caliber players. With this logic, we should cut our scholarship players to 53 and go play in the NFL. I mean, it's the same number of players.

What does this have to do with the result of the game?

This has been shot out of the mouth of our head coach. People will cling to it now and drop it down for every mishap all season. Meanwhile, Withers down in San Marcos says hello.

He wants to badly say our players suck. And we may very well suck. But until we start getting some recruiting momentum we're still going to suck. He's 9 or 10 months in and recruiting is kind of staying status quo. It's plain as day this staff evaluates and offers the right players, but in recruiting that's just getting started. We have to land dudes. As a UNT fan I'm anxious to see how our class shapes up in February.

I doubt he took offense.  He basically just quoted what Seth said at this week's press conference.  Hopefully you didn't offend Seth.   ;-)

But keep in mind sometimes some VERY good P5 players transfer to FCS so they don't have to sit a year before playing...

Double edged sword.

There are lots of kids with speed and size.  In some cases, especially lineman, it is the footwork that separates them from FBS.  They just don't seem as explosive off the snap.

That's kind of the vibe I got from watching 5 minutes of the BC-AS game.  Obviously, that and reading this board make me an expert :pow:

no rain, 82 degrees at kickoff.

No excuses.

Agreed. 82 as a high in September literally does not get better. We have to pack that stadium. Students must not get discouraged and understand that we're in the midst of a process and our provided atmosphere can truly make a difference to expedite that process.
