Now that we have played the opener, what are your predictions for our record for the rest of the season? For those of you who thought we were a 5-7 or better type team, do you still feel that way or have you changed you views because of the loss to SMU?

I am on record for 2-10, so I haven't changed my thoughts. That said, if we lose this weekend, I'm fairly certain we go 0-12. But I think we win this week and will still steal another game at some point this season.

Im sticking with my 4.5-7.5 prediction... This team will make less mistakes as the season goes on. Major mistakes have been the downfall of UNT football the last couple of years.

I think a lot of it comes down to execution mistakes. Too many missed passes. Too many missed defensive assignments. You could tell the staff put them in the position to be successful. The players just didn't execute. Rice, nUTSAck, Army, and BC are all very beatable. I predicted 4-8. I still think 3-4 wins are possible

Come on man! We have 11 games remaining and majority of people seem like they are jumping ship already.

On another note, I like the player's attitude's on their twitter accounts and not listening to all the garbage

I am on record for 4-8, and I had us beating SMU (other wins are Bethune-Cookman, at UTSA, and at UTEP).

Getting more than 2 road wins would be really tough... but maybe we have a decent chance to win at Rice based on their Week 1 performance.

Or... we could catch the MUTS or Southern Miss on a "down" week at home.

Anyway, twill be fun watching this group grow and improve through the season.

I have us winning this season against BC and UTSA--have since the schedule was released. I didn't jump ship--I just think its interesting to see what people think after losing a game to SMU, a game that fans who guessed we would be a 4+ win team had us winning.

When the schedule rolled out, there were 4 opponents we could reasonably compete with, due to our 68 scholarships and implementing a brand new offensive scheme with players who weren't recruited to play this type of offense--SMU, BC, Army, and UTSA. We competed with SMU, but they are just ahead of us right now in their rebuild. Now, we go to Butt Cookman--if we cannot beat them at home, then we know that we haven't started moving upward yet from the ashes of the worst loss in modern college football history, 66-7 to FCS Portland State.

I'm 2-10 on the season with the first win against Bethune Cookman and the second win against one of the UT twins.

I think we win 3 games this year and win 6 at least next year. Hambone and Garner gonna show out next year.

I'm a tad behind you on that--1 or 2 this season, 3 or 4 next year, then 6+ in 2018.

If their back stays healthy UTEP is a bowl team so I wouldn't count on them for a win.   Worse case is they come into the last week desperately needing that win for bowl position.

Still feeling good about my 3-9 prediction. I predicted us to lose 34-23 so Saturday didn't do anything to change my thoughts on the rest of the season.

As long as we improve every week I think we'll win next week and sneak out a couple more.

Yeah rice seems like a more winnable game.

I had this team at 4-8 but I didnt count the SMU as a W. I had Bethune, Army, UTSA and a Random thrown in there.

I might down grade to 3 wins but not anymore than that. This team is still growing and learning as a team.

4-8 at best. I thought we would beat SMU. Still think we beat BC, Rice, UTSA, and maybe Florida (just kidding!). But there's another win out there. My only hesitance with us beating Rice, UTSA, and UTEP is they are all away games and we all know how we play away from our home field (not well). Another issue with Rice is playing them the week after Florida. How banged up will our guys be? They play Baylor the week before so I'm not sure if that's any better. I guess we'll see...

It's ok, I am going to this game so I will make it feel like a home game to the team.

I am still going with 3 and 9.

If they lose to the div 2 school...  i will go ahead and downgrade my expectations.

We don't play a Division 2 school.  Bethune-Cookman is Division 1 FCS.

We're all counting you.

Despite the loss to SMU, we need to remember a few things:

1) this team has fight (so far).

2) although we all dislike SMU, they might not be as bad a football team as we think. They've got some good skill players and Sutton is special.

3) they are a year ahead in rebuilding

4) they've had really solid recruiting classes the past two years. Ben Hicks, who threw the 88 yard TD pass was a four star QB per ESPN in 2015.

It's too early to view this game as an indication of a terrible year.

I expect to see 2-10 but if they really gel I would be really happy with 4 or 5 wins. Anything above that is a complete Miracle.
