I was taking it all in stride, but it appears we were the only Texas team to lose this weekend.  Ugggh.  Sorry to be a Debbie Downer. 

I do believe we have the right coaches to turn it around, but my head hurts from growing pains.

If two Texas teams play, one is going to have a loss. 

I'm more concerned about the recruits BOTH NT and SMU will be pursuing seeing two losses in a row to SMU.

Well I'm slightly depressed reading about Texas State being a 20.5 point underdog to Ohio University and pulling out a triple overtime win 56-54. And first year coach Everett Withers did it with five returning starters, "played 10 true freshmen and 23 who played in their first college game".  They did have a senior QB running the show.

Good win for the Bobcats.  We couldn't beat Ohio in two tries.

Look on the bright side, UTEP plays Texas, UTSA plays Colorado State, and Rice plays Army. Obviously, all the aforementioned teams are likely to lose and are CUSA Texas teams. We play Bethune-Cookman and damn sure better win!

UNT. I have a hard time believing with Wilson and Fine that Rice would win. Their coach was rumored to be in the running for the UTSA HC position this summer so the local media half way covered Rice. They have had multiple  garbage recruiting classes and player issues. I believe they will be worse this year than last.

Played football at Lewisville and debated there.  UNT was the location of tournaments and long weekends in the library preparing for them. I have a special place in my heart for UNT because of those times. My graduate degree is in Organizational Development, so getting to watch an organization up close from inception is a professional passion I guess along with my football. Both schools have significance to me and I root for both.
