Please Come Back

I was so thankful to see a large crowd at last night's game.  I hope we are able to get a large portion of those people back. I know...just reading comments, some may think that is asking a lot. I was able to talk to a few players after the game and there was a big difference between looking in their faces after the game this year, compared to last year. This year I saw disappointment, but not hopelessness. I heard one of them tell their friends, "Come Back! We will get better." I am not sure he believed that last year.  But sounded very confident last night. Please come back on Saturday and support this team that wants to Win!  This team won't quit!

If we're on this forum, we're not going anywhere.  Even the most ardent, vociferous "reality guy" (yes @UNT90 I'm talking about you bro) is here because he cares- even though it's that  "I'm slapping your face because I need you to see that your more jacked up than a hockey bat" kind of care.  We're all gluttons for punishment and if we didn't jump ship after the Portland State game, we're not going anywhere.  Tell that to your contacts on the team.

It was a rough night...   But it was miles better than last year!

Absolutely better than last year! This team never quit and kept fighting!  They will get better throughout the year and the program will rise again!  It was a very good crowd last night!  Me, my wife, 3 kids, my brother and nephew did our part in cheering the Mean Green on and look forward to doing it again!

I do believe that we'll get better.

In spite of all of our mistakes, it was a fairly evenly played game except for two factors...our inept start and giving up big plays.  For a first game with a new coach, new system, and many new players we showed a lot of promise.

I was much more entertained than perhaps any game under Mac.  I'll be back and I hope that most that were there Saturday will as well.

I hope you stick around after your son has left the program, too. It is disappointing that so many parents are active while their children are on the team but never to be heard from again once they graduate. You will always be welcome here!
