I got it too. It's the thought that counts, I know. But c'mon, what's with these emails that are just one big JPEG with no actual text? I get these from no one but spammers, and UNT.

If I didn't know any better, I'd think Capper was responsible for these emails too...

I had similar thoughts, but at least clicking on said jpg takes you directly to ticket purchase.

Does COBA have its own Alumni Association?

Rick

As a formal organization, I don't think so but they do send out a whole bunch of college specific stuff about various and sundry breakfasts, happy hours, and the occasional football game tailgate.

Agree. But some folks like to search their email to go back and find old ones for reference (or ticket buying), and this eliminates the chance of this. Also by default many email clients do not display images, so this will open as a blank message.

A step in the right direction, but a little guidance and their efforts could be far more effective.

Thought you were talking about this one. Networking!

Hank Dickenson begins his 23rd season with the Mean Green in 2016. In his administrative role as the Deputy Athletic Director, Dickenson serves as the Mean Green's number two administrator and is responsible for day-to-day operations in the Athletic Director's absence. He currently holds the role of Acting Athletic Director during a national search process.

Dickenson led the department's efforts for the Apogee Stadium naming right project which produced the 20-year, $20 million contract. He originally designed the Mean Green Corporate Partner Program that has secured multi-million dollar applications inside Apogee Stadium as well as previous scoreboard renovations at Fouts Field, the Super Pit and the Mean Green Village. Under his direction, sponsorship revenues exceed $1.5 million annually.

Working alongside Dave Barnett, Dickenson also provides on-air talent as color commentator (football), play-by-play and color (basketball) with well over 500 North Texas broadcasts to his credit. He teaches Sports Broadcasting, as an adjunct professor at UNT, continuing a tradition set by Hall of Fame broadcaster Bill Mercer.

A known fundraiser and active community liaison, Dickenson has been honored as the recipient of UNT's inaugural "Bob Rogers Service and Community Engagement Award", the Denton Chamber of Commerce's highest honor, the "Otis L. Fowler Award," as well being honored by the Boy Scouts of America/Longhorn Council's "Distinguished Citizen Award."

A 1987 graduate of the University of Kansas, Dickenson also holds a master's degree in sports administration from the United States Sports Academy. He and his wife, Missy, are proud parents of two boys, Dan (17) and Joe (15).

So my guess is that the College of Business is sending this out to all its alumni.  Good on them.

I guess they must.  I graduated 59 years ago and I still get everything that they mail.

The College of Engineering also sent out a similar email to attend the SMU game. I like this idea.

Yes that is the plan this year to go to the UNT vs UTSA Game in October. And also trying to schedule a game to watch in Denton this year.
