Now, whoever is in charge of this "pulley system" needs to pay attention and have the net up before any kicks, or that big beautiful scoreboard will be broken.

We are (were?) probably the only school in FBS where the net covers the scoreboard for the entirety of the game.

Net covering the scoreboard was irritating.  That's it. Probably worth the (hopefully) small cost and effort.

Sometimes footballs would get stuck in the bottom portion of the net and not fall down.  Hopefully that gets fixed as well

This worries me a bit.  If the pulley malfunctions, I could see the opposing team kicker rush the PAT snap just so he could crack the damn thing!  With our luck it will be against UTSA!

The pic looks like another stationary net is being put into place.  That thing is so irritating... makes the images on the big screen look awful.  I doubt we can afford a mechanical device with the ability to raise itself up when needed, and also has a separate button to press which lowers it.

I complained about the nets being up there the entire time at the Houston game. I am glad to see them finally do something about it... 5 years later.

Little things start to add up.  Sure it seems trivial (something small like a new pulley system), but perhaps this could lead to additional things that could make for a more efficient and better game day experience for all.
