According to Google Maps, Cal is 1,728 miles from Skyline High School, while Kansas State is 501 miles away.  So, yeah, it's closer but certainly not what I expected from someone who wanted to be closer to his ailing grandfather living in the Dallas area.

Maybe he'll take I-35 on his way home from K-State, see a "You could be home now," sign in Denton and reconsider?
