This hurts more for next year than this year, IMO. Next year when was all these JUCOs would have a year under their belt, and spring practice, as well as familiarity with the scheme. Good news is at least this gives us an extra spot for the 2017 class. Not sure if Johnson and Hayes opened up a spot in either class by not showing up.

If that curriculum gets any more favorable, particularly for these JC athletes, they'll having coloring books for textbooks.

The truth is that NT would not have been close to signing either Johnson or Hoston if there had been no academic issues.  They were not worth the risk for the major programs, but frankly NT had nothing to lose by signing them.  

That being said, recruiting has got to get a lot better.
