My post was before BV's posting announcing Brendon Weatherspoon's commitment.

My posting was up for a few minutes, then disappeared off the board.

I said, "Has anyone notice the new commitment on "Spoon" Weatherspoon? Check out the recruiting section"

Maybe I beat BV on the commitment announcement?

No need to review the disappearing posting. I was just curious about my deleted post.

Maybe a board glitch? I saw it, but it looked like you created one topic on the Football menu, but when I read it and clicked through to the next couple of topics it popped back up again, which it really shouldn't have so maybe there was something weird going on.

I can answer the where.  Looks like it was moved to the recruiting forum and merged with an existing thread.

As to why?  No idea.  

As to who?  No idea.  

As to the leading question trying to get a sound bit answer we can run as a teaser: Charlie, what did it feel like when your post dissipated?  Was it devastating?

Interesting to see Texas coaches were checking him out.  No offer but that tells me this young man had something.  Video shows size and good feet.

Oh, no !!  We have posts that have disappeared or moved.   Moderators know nothing of it.     I'll bet we have the "ghost" of RV come back to haunt the GoMeanGreen.com message board.    Some of you guys (and you know who you are) had better hang loose if he ever figures out how to get some voodoo dolls.

      Next week's ECU game is our last chance this season to sellout DATCU Stadium

      So if you were AD for a day which P4 regional program could you bring in? Hard to get the big boys in Texas to play in a 30,000 seat road game. SMU and TCU will never play us again and Houston has moved on. Looks like Texas State , Sam Houston, UTEP, New Mexico St.,Ark. St., ULL, and La. Tech are regional programs that might draw more fans than flies so sign them up.

      Did he keep him because of lack of $$ to fire him last year? Or was he given another year to add players, make adjustments, etc to see if improvement? I don’t know, but guessing our budget factored into it.

      2025 DC Wish List

      Jeremiah Johnson from La Tech. My #1 choice no to high school DC, they have no clue to the portal and I don’t feel a great source of talent judgement. Carthel I don’t think would come for a coordinator role even for 200k more. He was my choice for HC after SL. if Johnson tells us no, look at the D2 level. D2 coordinators are more aggressive recruiting and better judges of talent. They are constantly trying to sell “snow to eskimos”. Bringing in particular kids from the portal with 1/2 schollys and inadequate facilities filling holes left by transfers etc. They are hustlers AND they won’t be afraid to come in with a hot seat coach, because of the confidence in their own skill . They will be more aggressive, But will adapt to the personnel they have in the cupboard. I’m also not sure we are getting any value from our recruiting gurus and support staff and we may need to revamp in that area for sure. Question our dfw high school coaches and get their recommendations for a DC We can do a little research in the D2 level and save money on a search committee lol
