Vice President and AD?  How often does something like this happen?  I'm guessing he wanted more money than they were willing to give for just the AD spot.

That is the trend at Universities. The AD at the school I'm attending now was promoted to a vice president of the university in charge of athletics. he gets a pretty penny for his work too.

Can the 17 (now hopefully to be rapidly expanded) be officially dubbed the "Knights of Wren"?

THIS should be a HUGE part of Wrens marching orders. We need MANY MANY MANY more donors of ALL levels. But we also need some big fish that can reach in their couch cushions and fund a project if needed.

Dumb question but do we(or anybody) have athletics endowments? Sort of "just donate and we will put away for projects as they come along" or is it all situations where we identify the need and then ask for specific funds for specific projects. I hope that question makes sense.

Hopefully "the 17" turn into "the 50" by the end of Wren Baker's 1st year at UNT.

I am almost certain RV was a VP as well. I don't think this is new.

Fellas. I haven't been around as long as a lot of you and I'm therefore not as long-suffering. But man, does this feel good anyways. I felt like a weight was lifted off this program when RV left. I was left with more anxiety wondering who the next hire would be and if he would propel us to the next level.. Today, I'm just elated. I really don't see how a better hire could have been made. This man could have easily been the next Athletic Director of a very respectable P5, Mizzou, at the age of thirty-freakin-seven. Wow. All I can say now is cheers guys, enjoy it. I'll be drinking a nice cold one (or two, or three) tonight to celebrate.

Same here...I started an NT in 07 and got welcomed to the mean green family by not seeing a home football win all 4 years I was on campus...despite all that I stayed (mostly cause basketball at the time and the HOD bowl). With RV gone I see a new light for NT athletics and I haven't been as proud to bleed green as I am today.

And now for Hank's replacement?

Note:  I like Hank personally.  I just thought Stimpy deserves a spot on Wren's staff.   That's all.
