Will C Dan stand in the way?

Even if he 100% opposed the hire and threatened to take his support and go home... which I highly doubt he will.   It doesn't mean anything because he's just a guy.  Homeboy ain't a Regent anymore.  He has no say.

Hank and company are in denial.

Nah.  They're just saying the right things to the media.   ...and, they likely haven't been told yet.  So, no denial there.

I'm sure resumes have been updated and are ready to go.

"What can you tell me about Wren Baker and his new position as AD?"

Capper and Nitardy: "Well, heh, he, uh, what new AD? Haven't you heard? Hank is the AD now, heh, heh, h....."*sobs*

I just picture Capper and Nitardy grabbing some UNT battle flags and broomsticks, tying them into hobo bindles, and hopping a freight train to adventure as soon as the Wren Baker press conference is announced.

I DID NOT remember this. This gives me some relief.

Although he has no say, that doesn't mean he has no sway.

Because we're running out of people to name individually and demonize online.

People are responsible for who they openly support for AD, especially when it's the Asst AD at the worst athletic department in FBS sports.

I picture Smatty at the Baptism of a young Sofia Coppola with loud organ music playing in the background while the ghosts of UNT athletics past are addressed.

Wren Baker's first act as North Texas AD is to hand a weeping Hank Dickenson a double barrel shotgun.

If Hank wants to stick around, he'll have to take Capper and Nitardy out to the ol' barn and put them down for good.

C.Dan is a heck of a backer of UNT athletics...he'll be fine.  By the way, don't let Capper and the gang use my battle flags for their escape.

Well, it sounds like we have one more vote for the Old Yeller/The Yearling option.

Should we give Capper and Nitardy a sporting head start, or just have Hank put them down execution-style?

There's a ton of possibilities out there.
