Smiley's birthdate is not given on MEANGREENSPORTS.COM. Also his hair has grown out considerably since the photo. The Vito article doesn't mention that he's charged with DWI as a minor. Is he over 21 ?

We shall see if Seth's player accountability(players self policing each other) stance is real or not. If it is then rest assured his teammates will let him know just how much he has let the team down.

ETA: This player accountability, in no way, replaces discipline from Littrell.

suspension for a couple games plus make him do some community service. Talk to HS kids about the dangers of drinking.

Send him to the S&C coach for likely going off diet. See what that coach has in mind to burn those calories.

Not sure if that's for me or not but I'll shoot:

This is a hard one because there is little to go by as far as a track record for how Littrell handles things from a head coaching perspective. His only opportunity was the Kidsy incident and I am still not sure if RV stifled Littrell in how he handled the arrest. Littrell puts a lot of the accountability for players on each other much like the the Larry Fedora model. If you're not lifting like you should your teammates let you know. If you are late for meetings, your teammates let you know. If you miss an assignment on a play, your teammates let you know. Peer accountability can be a very powerful thing. All that said I hope that Littrell goes to the DPD and to Smiley to get their sides and then makes a statement soon. He can't let this thing linger especially with the spotlight on college athletes and perceived favoritism that has been in the news recently.

Of course, I was a college kid once and drove home when I shouldnt have but that was before UBER came about. Sorry for being a hypocrite

Also, Uber requires a credit card. Many of these kids don't have one.

I've told this before,....but true story.

I was forced to allow a drunk student who I was driving home....to drive my mustang instead,....after a young Denton County Sherriff Deputy pulled me over for a moving violation and learned my driver's license had expired the week before.

The student told the deputy.." I'm intoxicated and he's driving me home to my parent's house..and I can't even drive a standard transmission".

The Deputy didn't care. He wrote me a citation for going around a median initially "Driving the wrong way"..for all of about 20 feet at 2 a.m. Then said if we wanted to go home I would have to let the other guy drive because my license was expired. So we switched seats and he watched us chug down McKinney Street till we were out of site. When we got to the railroad tracks near the courthouse we pulled over and quickly switched back and I hauled ass out of site.

I had an interesting discussion with the judge over the department first thing the next Monday morning who not only tore up my citation but said he would immediately have a talk with the guy's superior.

BTW.... I had to list this as a prior for my background check and subsequent interview to get on the fire department because I wasn't sure if it was in fact on my record or not? During my interview before a panel of about 10 officials i was asked about it of course and I told the story. Everyone in the room was like..."Your kidding, right?".

The shit we go through growing up, huh? But most importantly..no matter what the case is...DO WHAT THE COP FREAKING TELLS YOU TO DO and worry about the right or wrong of it later.
