Off Season...   bored....    the radio had me thinking about the cluster in Baylor that evicted Art Briles...

Some on the board were pressing very hard for the Baby Briles.  After all that has occurred in Baylor, are those thoughts still there?

So if he had inklings about things happening and just didn't say anything that would be ok?   He didn't cover anything up right?

I have had thoughts from time to time concerning the Baylor mess. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kendal move on next year to be with Art...if Art gets a job somewhere. I suspect Art will be hired by some school in a couple of years unless he is formally sanctioned by the NCAA. Fairly or unfairly, Kendal will be tarred with Art's brush; and the rest of the staff, for that matter. JMHO.

Wonder, if one of our coaches left next year on the offensive side... and we have a solid year.. if Briles would consider coming here for a new start...

Three years from now Harrell takes over for SL when SL steps in for a retiring Bob Stoops at OU after a massive bowl win for us.

Kendal comes in as OC after working as QB coach somewhere to (re)build his resume...

(why yes, I can be optimistic at times)

How about we wait till Littrell is a success before we worry about losing him.   Heard lots of the same talk with the hires of McCarney, Dodge, Aston and even Benford.  Only Aston has actually been remotely good enough to be hired away.

Even before the assault scandal, the NCAA had investigated Little Briles for recruiting violations.

No to Little Briles.

What he found guilty?

Yes.  But, they don't call it "guilty."

He and another Baylor coach were hustling football recruits at track meets

He comes from a culture of corner-cutting and cheating.

No to any Briles.  Let them go coach at Hardin-Simmons or McMurry or Tarleton State.  Keep them away from us.
