We were told by one poster on here that 2 wins would be absolutely unacceptable in 2016...even though ever single media outlet so far has us ranked anywhere from 123-128 in FBS.

Don't judge this season on wins and losses on the field...only in recruiting

Littrell and staff are not going to be judged harshly based on the record the first year.  However, I do not think anyone is going to be happy with a 2 wins or less season.

As far as judging this year on recruiting; really don't understand that concept.  Early Littrell recruiting has certainly not been good based on ratings and that is understandable.  NT is relying heavily on transfers and I don't think that is a long-term goal.   If the premise, is to judge 2016 on the 2017 recruits than that is already a difficult objective as many of those slots are already gone if the transfers show up and a poor 2016 record will not help.

NT was a defeated ball club last year, both on and off the field.  In all my years of following bad NT football teams, I have never seen a team give less overall effort.  NT doesn't have a lot of returning talent, but the talent level is better than was demonstrated last year.   It is not only possible, but I believe probable that the lack of effort, dedication and emotional lows of last year that destroyed the team will turn into positive factors this year.

Last year most of those rankings had us at around .500, so let's hope that they are wrong once again. A BIG improvement on defense gives us a chance for a significant turnaround.

I think you're on to something with this. Which is why I'm taking the over. Barely.

There was a lot of quit on the team last year.  I really think there is more potential talent on this team than 2 wins (if the QB position is at least average) but I need to see who actually makes it onto campus in August before drinking too much green-aid.
