This event was bound to occur. So sad it happened here.

Prayers for the DPD and DART PD family tonight. 

Terrible news. Do you know if Emmitt and Rudy are okay? Not sure what departments they work for.

Rudy should be fine. Emmitt is probably very busy right now...

Emmitt works at the Love Field, so he wouldn't have been down there initially unless under special assignment.

Numbers are now:

Dallas PD - 3 dead, 10 shot

DART PD - 1 dead, 4 shot 

14 shot, 4 dead as of latest report.

nope....he is a LT on the Swat team. Left Love Field some time ago.

Thanks for the update on our Mean Green brethren. Hopefully we hear from them soon. I'll keep them and the other Dallas officers in my prayers. It is going to be a long night.

Channel 5 is interviewing this guy's brother and the guys who came to the rally with him.  It doesn't sound like he had anything to do with the murders.

Fox reporting 2 snipers triangulated their field of fire, fired over 60 rounds, and had a "massive field of fire." 

Extremely organized attack.

Also heard this guy turned himself in not too long ago.

Brother says this guy gave his gun to a cop moments after shooting started. 

There is a video of this guy walking on street still armed after shooting started so that video may be solid evidence this guy is innocent and completely uninvolved and just exercising his rights as a citizen.

I'm fine, thank you. I'm still at a department in the panhandle and haven't made it back to DFW yet.

 

Last I heard, Emmitt is on scene but ok.

New video shows guy turning in rifle to avoid confusion. Smart move, I'm really happy to see how cop and he interacted.

We are probably just waiting for a formal announcement clearing this guy.
