The most important achievement of NT athletics, was the early integration of Afro-Americans into college athletics.   I have always wondered why this has not been publicized a lot more by the University.

It would be very appropriate for NT to erect statues of Leon King and Abner Haynes in a very conspicuous location.  The main objective would be to honor NT and those early Afro-American players for what than was a very noble and brave action.

It should also provide an opportunity to tell future recruits and incoming students of one of NT's proudest accomplishments.
