Alamogordo senior Kristyn Archuleta will go down as one of the most decorated student-athletes at AHS.

No matter which sport she competed in she always worked hard and excelled at the highest level.

Archuleta signed her letter of intent to compete in track and field at the University of North Texas in Denton on Friday afternoon in front of friends, family and coaches.

She had been receiving interest from the University of Nevada in Reno and UTEP for track. For basketball she was garnering attention from Western New Mexico, New Mexico Junior College and Cochise Junior College.

"I was really looking at what would help me educationally and financially," Archuleta said. "I know North Texas held my major of Kinesiology and it was close enough to home, far enough away. It felt like a good fit and I really enjoyed my visit. I liked the coaching staff and all the other athletes there.
