This kids got wheels. With this kind of speed he might contribute early. Looks like the staff landed a real talent. Here is the story from the Lawton Constitution.

MOORE - For the third year in a row, a Lawton athlete captured the 5A 100-meter dash state title.

Eisenhower's Rico Bussey ran the 100 in 10.79 to win the event yesterday at Moore High School.

"Yeah I don't know. Just ran hard and got a good start," said Bussey, whose time would've been good for second-place among the 6A runners.

He ( Bussey) came in third in the 200-meter, running a 22.20. 

Deion Griffin ran a 21.24 in the state meet.

 

Folks, we got a lot of speed coming in this fall.

      Post election Veteran’s Day hype? no matter who wins the election around 50% of people in 60 mile radius of Denton won’t be feeling very patriotic. And with our current political climate that percentage should be near 80% regardless of who wins. Because there was a time a peaceful uneventful, uncontroversial, transfer of power was taken for granted. This time no matter who wins you would be a fool to anything but cautiously optimistic an uneventful transfer of power takes place.

      Sell Out Next Week?

      The Army game is on Veterans Day Weekend (November 11 is the next Monday). Proper promotion could fill the Stadium. Discounts for Veterans, Honoring Disabled Veterans, maybe a special performance with music honoring our Country, etc. The game will be just 4 days after the election.

      What some are predicting for the Wyoming game

      Looking at Wyoming's schedule, we would not have beaten Arizona St or BYU either. Based on our defense, the score would have probably been roughly the same. The Idaho game would have been a toss up, but I think we could have won it based on the strength of our offense. I think these are two very evenly matched teams. I think we pull it off because of weather and homefield advantage, but it will be close. 42-38 Mean Green. We will outscore them because of our passing game. They will run through our defense, but it will be slower because they will have to run more than pass. Because of the slow way they will have to play, they will not be able to keep up points wise.
