Dalton Santos transferring from UT

Will be immediately eligible this fall as a 5th year senior grad transfer. From what I can tell, he only has one high school teammate from Van playing FBS college football and that is this guy. Would be a good get for Ekeler.

I assume he is talking about NFL aspirations and that he'd have a better shot playing somewhere else than riding the pine in Austin.

Brother is a JC Offensive Lineman at Tyler I believe.

We should be concerned as to why UNT wasn't even considered?  P5 schools?  Sure.  La Tech?  Are you kidding me!  They're not even in Texas.

Because received a medical redshirt last season and is set to graduate in May, he will immediately be eligible at the school of his choice, which could be Miami, Mississippi State, or Louisiana Tech, according to Justin Wells of Inside Texas, who broke the news and has deep connections in East Texas.

yeah I would think we are out of the picture now.  Maybe if the above listed schools had no scholarships available we could slide it but this race is over.

Question:  The schools he listed all went to bowl games in 2015, so why would he consider coming here?  I was more perplexed by the Texas Tech receiver transferring to an FCS.

It hurts to miss out on P5 transfers, but the fact is he hasn't been healthy since 2013.
