I think Rick will retire when his contract runs out, perhaps slightly before. You always let someone retire or leave voluntarily rather firing them if there is any possible way of doing so. Firing someone who is going to retire is petty, makes those doing so look bad, make the person leaving look much better and can easily backfire legally.

Sure. You let him hire the next football and basketball coach even though almost every single one of his hires has been an unmitigated disaster. 

I mean, he is a nice guy and we need to make sure we reward him with a pension for continually screwing UNT athletics. Gotta keep paying a guy that didn't earn it on the first place, right?

Good lord. This isn't a charity. I don't give a damn how Rick Villarreal "looks" and it says a lot that you do. 

Funny how no one was worried about "legal concerns" (whatever the hell that mean because it makes no sense) when Mac was fired.

Does NT encourage game attendance by engaging with local business to sponsor half time competitions for students to participate in? You've all seen these sort of things elsewhere . Random games like throwing a football through those big cans. Tic tac toe layup, etc. Also restaurants give out free coupons to students attending games. Tailgate competitions- you get the idea.
