I love seeing us sign "slash" players. LB-slash-RB-slash-whatever.

You know when a kid plays every position on his HS team that he's a true athlete, not just a cog in the machine. Good find and an awesome first step.

"In that game, Davis ran for three first-half touchdowns and recorded double-digit tackles in the first two quarters. Davis' touchdown runs covered 15, 4, and 3 yards. Davis helped Ryan outgain Keller Central 438-155.

Davis should garner some FBS interest in the coming weeks and months with continued performances such as the one agaist Keller Central. He already has a season's worth of varsity ball under his belt as a sophomore, when he ran for 412 yards and tied for a team-high with six rushing touchdowns while carrying the ball only 46 times. He averaged almost nine yards per tote."

"After a sensational sophomore season when he was in on 111 tackles, Davis has 49 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss, six assists, two pass breakups, two sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown.

He’s managed to stand out among other notable playmakers at Ryan, including heavily recruited defensive tackle Ken McLaurin, linebacker Nick Watts and defensive backs like Delano Robinson, Randy Gray and Tamar Butts. And he’s shouldering a heavier workload that also has him playing running back, where he has scored six touchdowns."

Glad to see a player from my Alma Mater attending my Alma Mater.

Anyone seen him play? Thoughts?

My son was his teammate. Davis is a real character. His weakness will be his temper, which he *usually* keeps in check, but he can get animated if he feels particularly wronged or "cheated." He has potential to be a real leader on the field and in the locker room but is also a good teammate.

This is a really good pickup for UNT. Good to see some quality local talent staying close to home.
