Gives me chills. I freakin' love that guy which is why I have a picture of him with my nephew on the field of the Cotton Bowl Stadium after the HOD win sitting at my desk.

Immeasurable value but, if I had to guess, a handful of Marcus Trices in DFW would be ten times more valuable than any dollar amount we could pay our football staff.

Follow up: I cannot find Marcus's Twitter account.  Deleted?

Can somebody come up with a helmet logo using a "U" ?  Marcus makes so much sense here I'm surprised some of you really smart posters didn't come up with this.  This could also be a way to help people remember "state" isn't our name.

I don't think the actual term the U is what the point is. Miami's primary logo was the U we see today since 1972. I think the point is that they became nationally known. There is only one school to be known as The U. Trying to be know as another "The U" is similar to the tortilla throwing that went around here for awhile at Fouts. Now, becoming nationally known due to the work and talent of local players, I'm 100% behind that.

Thanks for pointing out the point.  Not to be a smart-alec, but I got that.  I still think another "U" would be OK.  And again, maybe some would focus in on the "U" instead of the non-appearing "s".

Vince Vance and the Valiants are appearing at the Denton Benefit League Ball next Saturday, in the new Union Building on the UNT campus.  On the North Texas campus !  But if one looks at the VVV calendar, one finds VVV is appearing at the Union on the North Texas State campus.  We can't even hire a band to play on campus and expect them to get the name right.

I think instead of the word smart-aleck, we should just use a picture of Alec Morris with glasses.

Has VVV had a hit since we were NTSU? Maybe that's the issue.

That's exactly the issue. One hit wonder is playing in the Union and it's not even Christmas time
