I think that should be a good series. One of the better scheduling things RV has done (Outside the SMU&Army series the bar is not high though). Balances out the SMU games. Although, the way things usually go (and have been going at Memphis lately), this could be a game vs a secret top program by the time it rolls around.

Pro: This could be very exciting for whoever our AD is in 2022. Ditto for Coach Doesntworkhereyet or Coach Guyaftertheguywhodoesntworkhereyet.

Con: Tulsa has six years to screw this up for us somehow.

In my best UNT90 voice:

"See that?!  They play craphole in 2020, a full TWO years before we could get them to play us.  This just proves that RV is being outworked by every AD in the country...even the $hitty ones!!!"

Yep.

This also is not a P5. This will not excite anyone that isn't a regular on this board. UNT's conference mates are scheduling home games against P5s. UNT isn't. Telling.

And it kills scheduling flexibility for the next, hopefully much much more competent AD.

But, by all means, celebrate mediocrity UNT fans.

Celebrate mediocrity. I guess when you get shoveled $hit for years, mediocrity looks... Swell?

Still no P5 on UNT's extremely extended and game locked schedule.

UNT being UNT.

Excellent news. Now if we could just snag Louisville, Cincinnati, and a few others, we would be right back where we were in 1969!

Maybe someday we will get back to where we were the last year of Fouts...

I'll be too old in 2022 to even attend this game.

(louder for the hearing impaired )  I SAID I'LL BE TOO OLD...never mind.

GO MEAN GREEN

I'll likely be pushing up daisies by then...if so, I'll do my damnedest to intercede on our behalf.

Ok, to give credit where it is due, this is a plus in RV's ledger.*

*For what that's worth

In the mean time we get Abilene Christian ET AL...

RV better not be here in 2022.

Ha!  That's exactly what I told my wife when I found out we scheduled Memphis.  I'll be too old to make the game.  Maybe we'll have the Mean Green Network up and running by then.
