For RV, this is scheduling a powerhouse @ Apogee.

That's a long, long time away.

Let's hope by this time Memphis is still pretty good and that UNT has improved.

Most likely: Memphis will be back in the toilet... with us.

Will they be playing for the Darrell Dickey memorial black practice jersey?

Better yet, if UNT wins the game in Denton we get to rename the practice fields!  If Memphis wins we have to erect a concrete status of Dickey in front of the practice fields!

90 will still finding something negative about that tweet.

Memphis is SMU or Army. Our conference mates are scheduling P5s at home. We aren't.

Why doesn't that bother you?

At least it's Memphis and not Portland State.

And this is the problem with UNT's fan base. They are so used to complete crap, the minute a so/so opponent gets scheduled, they celebrate like UT was just added to the schedule.

This is another school no one cares about, especially alumni. They will probably be back to their normal, crappy selves by the time this rolls around. This has UTSA vs UNT written all over it. And there won't be any Darrell Dickey aspect, either. He will be long gone, one way or another, by the time these games are played.

Raise your expectations, people. With as little scheduling flexibility that UNT has thanks to the crap job Rick Villarreal has done, this spot really needed to be a P5. Villarreal fails again.

Shocked, I tell ya.

I'm happy with AAC teams coming and playing in Apogee. Although, RV is still severely lacking by not bringing in some P5's at home. This is a step in the right direction. Plus... Who are we to judge the credibility of a fellow G5 team?

Side Note: Still not supportive of RV

Has nothing to do with judging Memphis, it has to do with keeping up with what conference peers are doing. UNT isn't. And those peers will notice.

UNT needs to be very careful or they could end up in Idaho's shoes...

Nice. Not to far for a nice road trip. How about Basketball?? GMG

One thing is for certain, you won't see the University of Memphis on the basketball schedule next year... Maybe SE Memphis City College... And they may be favored.

Problem is I'm right. And this locks down the schedule even further into the future, and the guy locking it down can't negotiate his way out of a kindergarten Easter egg hunt.

UNT really doesn't care about anything athletics, and this is just a continued demonstration of that attitude.

An interesting proposition Harry. Now would the statue have mardi gras beads and/or visible middle fingers?

Makes you wonder what that status would be, maybe 'MFer!'

Beads hanging from fingers as he looks on approvingly while assistant coaches fight with fans.

Which is why Memphis is coming to play at Apogee and not Southeastern Oklahoma State University. A step in the right direction....

A Step UNT has already taken with SMU and Army. Conference mates are scheduling P5s at home. UNT isn't.

They will notice.

Also, try and set your standards just a bit higher. Everyone else in CUSA is.

So who are we going to bring in, besides the possibility of OK State? (if I'm remembering their schedule openings correctly) We already brought in a P5 into Apogee before. Think TCU's history with G5 opponents.
