Softball Week of April 2nd

I can't figure this team out.

 Wednesday we lose the 3rd and final game of the year to Baylor 2-0...holding them to 1 earned run, but can't score any runs..  Baylor is 28-7 right now and ranked #19th nationally.

but today we puke on our shoes in a double header against FIU giving up 9 runs but again...can't score.

So far this week since Wednesday's game against Baylor we've stranded 20 runners.  That cannot happen. 

Cant put a string of games together where we get good pitching AND hitting at the same time.

I believe the youth of this team is showing more and more.  Very erratic play, seem to play up to good out of conference schools; but have been very poor inside CUSA. 

Good group of freshmen players that will get better.  Good fielding team but lack shut down pitcher.  Kee is still much too conservative to me, bunt first strategy is old style softball that is fine in late inning close games but limits offense at other times.  

It's going to be a big shame if team doesn't make the CUSA tournament held in Denton.

Spanked again today...stranding another 7 runners in a run-rule loss.  That's 27 stranded runners in 4 games.

I also don't get having Shkade leading off?  She got her 12th HR today that leads the league.

So, one of the 2 things we were decent in we are no longer decent in. Great.

Which will kill attendance because our AD has done nothing to promote this tournament to the residents of Denton.  Denton should be partnering with UNT on this event and put our best foot forward regardless if we play or not.

On paper...yes.  We should hammer them but we're not hitting the ball. 

Im thinking the issue GrandGreen brought up may have a lot to do with it..youth?  I have no other idea why this team gets hot then goes cold?

How can we host a tournament in a stadium that only holds 300 fans?  And has a container for a press box.
