It is pretty odd that we have never played Old Dominion in football and it is one series I am anticipating, Norfolk being my home town.

Anyway, there may be a move afoot for them to build a new stadium, replacing the existing Foreman Field.  I would bet that this happens!

drove down Hampton Blvd constantly for four years and could never even tell that there was a football stadium there.  The architecture on the current one is classic but they could easily build a 35k person stadium and have great attendance.

125M for 25K seats??? Are the seats gold plated?

Labor in VA not quite as... um, 'cheap'... as it is here in TX.

Possibly also a premium for getting it done in such a way to not affect the football season.

It's not that different. Not like illegals built Apogee. Materials have skyrocketed since our house was built.

The asymmetric end zone seating in the artist rendering hurts my simple mind.

It's like...a side part. Like a pompadour.

They have tried to incorporate as much of the existing stadium as possible. The existing stadium is quite classic, plus Virginians can't easily tear things down. It's an old joke...but how many Virginians does it take to change a light bulb? Three, one to do the changing and two to talk about how good the old one was.

"Opening home game against Virginia Tech":

Burying the lead, I see.

Another AD doing things RV can't. Old Dominion will win CUSA in football way before UNT ever wins a division.

Reminds me of Bobby Dodd Stadium for GT for sure.

And "may be" building? If I recall correctly, part of ODU's condition upon admittance into CUSA was for plans to upgrade their stadium situation be on the books.

Looks a little bit like Apogee except the third level on the visitors side. And I have a hard time believing that that stadium rendering would only seat 25,000.

Looks like a 35 - 40,000 design to me.
